I discovered a game called grimvalor best souls like platform rpg I've played so far but it's only available on phone I hope it gets ported to pc
Good work! This top is completely valid today, are the best Souls-like 2D. The only one I would add today is 'Vigil: The Longest Night', which came out not too long ago.
I am only watching this because I can't run less than 1% of the souls like genre.
"mouse-based soulslike" is a subgenre I can get behind.
I love souls🤤🤤
6:50 The thing i don't really like about pixel art games is that games didn't actually look THAT pixelated back then because resolution was lower and tvs are not monitors…
hollow knight. the best game ever
These are great picks. I’m going to have to dig into some of these
Try Vigil the longest night!!
You missed probably the best souls like game ever smh dead cells
Salt and sanctuary is just Charlie Murder but Dark Souls
What is the game from the thumbnail this time? I know I just asked on another video but I'm also unsure about this one haha please and thank you for assistance!!
DARK DEVOTION!!!! I DIDN'T KNOW This one! I will buy it! hahaha it will be the 6th game I buy because of you! Thank you again!
My god Void Memory until now I am still stuck at Ouroborus the Immortal. Fuck that guy.
A month ago I saw this video, saw Blasphemous for the first time, bought it, beat it 3 times and got the platinum after many efforts .. This game is the best!
you forgot hyper light drifter
I just wanted to know anyone play Runic Curse
Dude your english accent is hilarious.
Thank you for show casing such a great array of the genre can't wait to check out all the ones I have missed
nothin beats HK
Hollow Knight is a masterpiece 10/10 and Blasphemous just shy of masterpiece 9/10.
Also there's Dead Cells
Your accent made me set volume to 0 because it annoys me a bit
this is heccing awesome! All these games look amazing to be able to play, im totally gonna download sum
I’m surprised that Dead Cells isn’t here
I wish Shrouded in Sanity would come to ps4.
Dark Devotion was so dissapointing to me. The rest of the list is banging and all must plays!
Momodora 4: Reverie Under the Moonlight is another game worth checking out. It has similar death/respawn mechanics, healing items, boss fights, metroidvania world design, multiple endings, but in pixel art style. Also, if you no-hit some bosses you get a special item from them.
hollow knight is hands down the best game from those games in this list
Death's Gambit is finally worth a try then? Game looked awesome but I read a lot of bad things about it.
Hollowknight and Blasphemous are really good. S and S youre next!
Blasphemous and Salt and Sanctuary are my top favorite 2D Soul type games 😀
Hey, great content
There are only two games that made me addicted as soulbornes games did: hollow knight and furi. Now i’m constantly searching indie games, especially with good challenge, setting, precise combat. Do you have any suggestions ? Those are under my radar: salt and sanctuary, every1 says It’s good and It’s cheap rn, Dead cells, HLD and death’s gambit (but waiting them supposedly « fix it ». There is also risk of rain 2, is it challengeling? Do you have any suggestion of challengeling games? Now I have 18 games to look into from commentaires suggestions
еще очень классная игра Charlie Murder а соль и святилище это моя любимая игра она запомнилась мне больше всего у меня в ней наигранно было больше 100+ часов
Where's the warrior in the thumbnail from?
Haven't finished Death's Gambit. Some of the scenes you get after dying were extremely intrusive and when you're trying to overcome a boss, this became infuriating. Also got a weird bug that caused some NPCs in the hub area to slowly lose health every time I visited the area.
Hollow Knight was okay. I thought I'd like it more, but after finishing my first run, I didn't really feel like playing it again, which was a disappointing feeling.
Titan Souls mostly just made me feel angry all of the time. Finished it once and never touched it again. It and one other boss rush game I can't remember the name of made me despise the game format, but Eldest Souls might change my opinion.
Salt and Sanctuary was fantastic. Not sure how many times I played through it, but I did get to the point where I hit the level cap allowed by Salt purchases and just wanted to collect the five black pearls you get on each run to completely fill out the entire skill tree. I didn't achieve that though, since other games came out that I really wanted to play.
You all should also really check out Gloom. It looks very similar to Unworthy (Gloom looks prettier), has a souls-lovecraftian-dream-esque setting and it was made entirely by an underage guy. It's amazing.
Does Symphony of the Night count as a souls-like?
