RootKits are viruses people try finding a way to get rid of it not hide it.
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH desktop.ini wouldn't go away no matter how many times i deleted it, it would just be back minutes later. im not sure if this is harmful or not i have had this problem long time.
I have tried other methods shown on youtube and you just solved my problem 🙂

did not work for me i deleted the desktop ini file
The desktop.ini is not there but i am still getting that notepad popping up…
